Mladen Petrić returns to training with Hamburg
Seems like Mladen Petrić has successfully overcome his injury he picked up on April, 23 in the DFB Pokal, German league cup, semi-final against Werder Bremen. Petrić suffered a long cut over his left shinbone and was immediatelly taken to the medical center AK Altona where the wound had to be sewn up with eight stitches. The Croatian international was said to be out for 3 weeks but returned in today’s reserves match against Hertha BSC Berlin and said “I had no problems, everything went fine”.
Hamburg’s head coach Martion Jol is confident on Petrić but don’t want to comment if the striker will be available for the second UEFA Cup leg against Werder Bremen on Thursday.
