New Schalke coach Maggath: Rakitić is “too inconstant”
Wolfsburg manager Felix Magath has confirmed he has agreed to take charge of Bundesliga rivals Schalke next season.
The former Bayern Munich boss has agreed a four-year contract with Schalke after turning Wolfsburg from a mid-table outfit into league leaders during his time in charge. The Wolves are on course to win the title this season as they currently command a three-point lead at the top of the table with just four league matches remaining.
The 55-year-old is proud of his work at the Volkswagen Arena and has admitted his surprise at what they have achieved during his short tenure. However, Schalke are already planning the new season – and will spend some money on the transfer market: Bosnian international Edin Dzeko is one of Maggaths key players at Wolfsburg and rumors are saying that the young striker will follow his boss to Gelsenkirchen.
Ivan Rakitić is “too inconstant” in the eyes Maggath. If we insist that Maggath already made up his mind on Rakitić and the above shown XI is correct a transfer (Juventus?) is more than likely. See our transfer rumor live text for more Rakitić speculations.
